Our Family Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving last year was really different for us. Most or should I say all Americans celebrate thanksgiving with pies, rolls, potato and gravy, ham, turkey and all those yummy foods. Thanksgiving the only day next to christmas, is the day everybody gets to stuff their face in plenty of food, great food.
But we did ours differently. Robert was out working in North Dakota last thanksgiving so we did not get to celebrate it. He was going to / suppose to be home but the other guy who was suppose to return to work to take his place while he goes home decided that he wanted to enjoy thanksgiving at home and not at work, which was hard. And for most people who knows my situation and the things that went on in my life knows that this is our first thanksgiving together and with our daughter as well. So i did not have him home for thanksgiving or to go do black friday shopping.
So we decided to celebrate thanksgiving when he gets home instead of the actual day. He really wanted to enjoy thanksgiving us so what better way to do it than to wait until he gets home.
Two weeks later he returned home and we celebrated our thanksgiving on a sunday. We had turkey, ham, baked macaroni and cheese, fried rice, corn bread, mashed potato and gravy, stuffing and juice. It was alot of food for just the three of us but we just cooked all the things he wanted and I wanted so we both got what we wanted.
We had a wonderful thanksgiving. Even if we celebrated it two weeks later it was just as great as celebrated on the actual day of thanksgiving. Serena ate with us and had lots to stuff herself with. I ate enough not much and robert had a plate full and we had plenty of left overs. Overall we had such a wonderful thanksgiving together as a family!!!
